Increase your International Tax Acumen

Last year, more than 100 participants attended the 2012 International Tax Conference in Chicago, IL.  This year, we anticipate an even larger turnout to learn about international tax concepts as they apply to North American businesses in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States.  Participants from Praxity firms, Praxity firm clients and prospects, and third parties will all be in attendance for learning, networking, and even a little fun.

The Conference is structured with two tracks, one for intermediate level topics and the other for advanced and specialty topics.  Two plenary sessions covering Recent Development in International Tax – North America and Effective Tax Rate Planning are scheduled as important topics for the entire group.  The Conference concludes with a Panel Discussion and Wrap-Up in a format that allows questions from participants to be asked of a panel for discussion and closure.

The intermediate track is designed for controllers or CFOs that are new to international tax concepts or Praxity firm staff or managers developing their international tax skills.  The training sessions include conception presentations (International Tax –The Basics) as well as several hands-on sessions that focus on Foreign Tax Credits, Transfer Pricing, and Entity Selection.

The advanced track is designed for experienced international tax practitioners.  The trainings focus on specialized topics like Tax Treaties, International Corporate Acquisitions and Reorganizations, and Crossborder Financing.  Each of the sessions is taught by a seasoned international tax professional that provide real life examples of the concepts and encourage participation from those attending.
